We’ve spoken to exam directors spending nights fixing broken workflows. To instructors copying grades manually. To institutions missing crucial reporting deadlines.

They need a foundation — fast, reliable, and built with care.

That’s where you come in.

The Role

We’re hiring a Backend Developer who thrives on solving complex problems with clean systems and thoughtful design. You’ll be part of the team building our API, data models (optional), proctoring systems, and automated grading engines — the invisible force that makes our product seamless and scalable.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and maintain scalable APIs using NodeJS and NestJS
• Architect databases and design schema with a performance-first mindset
• Implement logic for AI-assisted grading, session integrity, user roles, and assessment workflows
• Write modular code that’s secure, tested, and clear
• Collaborate across frontend, product, and AI teams to bring big features to life
• Be a voice in key architectural and infra decisions

Who You Are:

• You’ve built or scaled production APIs using NodeJS (NestJS a plus)
• You love solving core logic problems, not just patching things together
• You can think in systems and flows — not just endpoints
• You care about performance, security, and clarity in every PR
• You want to be proud of the systems you build, and how they serve real people

Bonus Points:

• Experience with PostgreSQL performance tuning and migrations
• Background in building secure auth and role-based systems
• Experience with AI/ML backend integration or scoring systems
• Familiarity with assessment, edtech, or high-volume apps

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development
• Proficiency in NodeJS, NestJS, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with API design and security best practices
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure
